Colorful shadows of Wrocław

One week ago I went to Wrocław to visit my friends Ewa and Dominika.
This time, it was quite warm outside, so we decided to see-sight the city. Friday evening, we went out to old market square and just chilled in a pub.

The next day, we got to the Japanese Garden near Hala Stulecia. It was formidable: plenty of colorful flowers and trees, a pond with ducks and fish... Really good place to relax, especially when the weather is gorgeous! :) What's more, there were many Japanese ornaments and monuments in the park.

Later, we went to see the famous Wroclavian fountain in front of Hala Stulecia. Also, we got back there during the evening, because of the night show: music, many colourful lights
and superb play of water. It was splendid! If you'll be to Wrocław, the fountain is one of must-seen places there.

Moreover, that Saturday, there was the museum night, so we went to The National Museum. Not only did we see many  paintings, we could also appreciate the modern art.

Sunday was rather calm: shopping in a mall then making a pizza italiana! Each prepared her own pizza and also one shared. They were so delightful, the taste was incredible! ^^

After meal, we arrived to Sky Tower, one of the highest buildings in Poland. The view was wonderful! The landscape was eye-catching! We could have seen all Wroclavian panorama, what's more, even Ślęża the mountain and the Karpatian foothills. Sky Tower was our last destination, after that I came back to Poznań.

During that weekend we had so great time, we visited many amazing places and right now have beautiful memories. Miss you, girls! :)

No way? Norway!

Breath-taking views, beautiful fjords, crazy people, tasty food, amazing adventures... This is Norway! With one of my best-friends, Marcel, we went to Balestrand, Norway for 10 days to take part in Erasmus+ program: Create your Project: From Theory to Practice. Also, there were participants from Turkey, Slovakia and Italy.

Bergen
Our journey was great! We took a train to Gdańsk, then a plane to Bergen. This city was really beautiful: many houses surrounded by fjords and sea, totally different than polish cities. We spent couple of hours there on see-sighting. There was one thing which surprised me a lot: Poles. They were everywhere! Anyway, from Bergen we went to Balestrand by a ferry! What a journey was it! 4 hours on sea, fascinating fjords were around us...

On way to Balestrand
In Balestrand, the life looks different, more calm, peaceful. It's a lovely town where approximately 1300 inhabitants live. We arrived at evening and the program started next evening, so we had all day to discover the beauty of this place. We took the bikes and made a little trip. That was amazing: every single view was splendid! Fjords covered by snow, sea, fresh air, little houses with gardens and trampolines everywhere ^^ Actually there were no people on streets. Balestrand is a good place to rest and relax, perfect for chilling :)

Each day was planned carefully: breakfast, first session, lunch, then second session, some coffee breaks during the day and at the end dinner and evening activities.

Fjords in Balestrand
Moreover, there were plenty of social events: we've been to Kvikne Hotel, the youth club, we were hiking the mountains (fjords), there were a barbecue and also many entertainments like international evening.

Generally, the program was really full of various stuff. We could have improved other ways of learning like energizers, drama, workshops or plays: trust building, coordination, leadership, name recognition. What's more, the project gave us opportunity to learn about many forms of activities integrating people from different backgrounds and to express ideas through theatre, music, dance.

The most important things for me was a possibility to discover new places, improve language skills, meet crazy people, have enormous fun and spend really amazing time with Marcel. To my mind, the time we spent with other participants were the most precious: there were a lot of laughs and funny situations all the time, we were jumping on trampoline everyday, we learn how to speak English in Italian way and of course we could have improved Italian a lot! Va bene! ;)
Our favourite one - trampoline!

Those 10 days gave us lot of experience but what's more, they gave us friends all over the world and many wonderful memories. I'm so happy that could have gone to Norway with Marcello :)

Ballet concert

On Monday, 13th April, I went with Anna to the Opera in Poznań to watch the ballet. Ania's sister is a ballerina, so all her family went to watch her performance.

Dance, dance, dance... the audience could have admired many different types of dances: classic ballet, folk, modern dance, duets and so on... What a spectacle! The flexibility of a body has no limits: all the little ballerinas were moving with such grace whereas with precision. Not only was I astonished of their performance, also it squeezed some tears out of me..  Every single move was so perfect!

That was something incredible! The concert lasted approximately 3h, each scene was prepared perfectly, all the spectacle was breath-taking! Hope, that the opportunities like this one (to see a ballet or other performance) will happen frequently :)

Adorable Sicily!

It's not the end of our trip...From Beauvais Paris we flew to Trapani, Sicily. This island was the best place I've ever visited! Not only was there so sunny and hot, also the nature was incredible, for me totally exotic: palms, orange trees, everything was blooming... Oh, I almost forgot: in plane we met such a funny steward Cicio, right now our favourite. Also, there were two polish guys, with whom we reached Etna ;)

First night we spent in Marsala, then we moved to Palermo. The most crazy place all over the world!
It's hard to describe the things which occurred there. Sicilians have their own style of driving, the markets are pretty awesome, and while siesta time almost everything's closed and there is no people out. In Palermo I had my very first 'pizza italiana' - the delightful pizza I've ever eaten! Also, we saw beautiful gardens and the seaside and we took part in a procession, because of the Lent. It was something rally amazing: in the middle of market the procession just entered into! People were praying, carrying heavy Madonna and Jesus monuments, there were two orchestras and so on... On both side of the street the market still ran: people were buying stuff, making deals... Something incredible! At the night, there were Erasmus party - I had rally great time, Italians know how to party ;) Then Vuceria - typical italian party, where people gather in a place (where during day is a market) and dance. Another wonderful thing!

Saturday, we took blabla car and arrived to Catania. Oh, Catania! ^^ One of my favourite place on the island. Firstly, we visited nearest cities like Aci Trezza and Taormina. These places are marvelous! Especially at night. When we came back to Catania the same day, we went for a walk and met new crazy people. That was a night!

Two next days, Easter, we spent at our host's family: we had granita con brioche - the ice-creams with a muffin - on breakfast (which was a little bit exotic for me), we went to amazing seaside and also had a barbecue with Italians. Food was so tasty! As always, we visited the market over there, too. Sunday night we spent on a beach 'sleeping' in a tent! Morning was so beautiful - the sunrise above the sea and amazing view at Etna... These memories will always be in my heart...

Puppo
Trip to Siracusa was on Tuesday as well as a fish market we went before the trip. That was something! Plenty of see food! We bought some vongole and puppo :) The mother of our host prepared for us delightful Italian meals and also, let us try her homemade lasagne. Mmmmm, everything was so perfect!
Etna, the volcano, was planned on Wednesday. We got there with Jacek and Marek, the polish guys we met in a plane. It was such fun with them: actually, they went to reach the summit of Etna, we both stayed in a shelter and tasted many various vodkas, honeys and chocolates and after that the most tasteful Italian ice-creams in Gelateria Zio in Catania... So yummy!
With Bell'uomo, Peppe - our friend from Catania and Puppo the octopus

We were supposed to go back to Paris next day, but unfortunately our flight was cancelled 'cause of strikes in France, so the destination was Palermo. We did a hitchhiking - and after three seconds (just 3 sec!!!) there was an old man who gave as a lift. In Palermo, there were many places to visit like: the cathedral, the botanic garden, parks, Teatro Massimo and of course the market again...

On Friday, we took a bus to Trapani, then a flight to Warsaw. That trip was really good decision every! I'll never forget people we met, and places we saw. Hope, that one day I'll come back to Sicily which I already miss a lot!

Time for Paris!

Next trip was to Paris. With my best friend Anna, we've been thinking a lot about going there. And the properly time came... We took a plane from Poznan to Beauvais. When we arrived, we had to take bus to get to Paris (it's about 80 km). Searching for Tour Eiffel was first thing we did through the window from the bus. It was there, but not that beautiful as during the night. We spent six days there, plenty of seesighting and walking down the breath-taking streets, discovering amazing nooks of nature or small cafés.

Moreover, we tried many typical french meals like ratatouille or snacks like macarons - tasty french cookies

Each day was planed carefully, but we had also many surprising adventures. First evening, we were exhausted 'cause of travel, so we stayed home. Next morning, the fun has begun. Jardin du Luxembourg, Panthéon, Sorbonne, Notre Dame, Ile de Saint Louis, Bastille, the market, Place de Voges, Hôtel de Ville, Centre Pompidou, Opéra, Madeleine, Place Vendôme...
That was amazing day! So many places we've been to... It was incredible to go down the little streets in Paris, watching people drinking coffee and eating croissants!

On Monday, we visited Montparnasse (especially the graveyard), Champs de Mars, we walked down the Tour Eiffel to Palais de Chaillot, then we went to Arc de Triomphe and down the Champs Elysées. Place de la Concorde was our next stop, afterwards Jardin des Tuileries. Also, we walked near Seine. The night was approaching so there was a possibility to see Paris during evening. It was unbelievable! For me, Paris is so much better during night.

Rue Vaneau 37, the view from roof
Those two days were quite hard. Not only were we so motivated to see many places, we also wanted to get to now the quotidian life of Parisians. Anyway, last two days were plenty of visiting, but some free time as well.

On Tuesday, we went to graveyard Père Lachaise, next we've been chilling in café Arsenal. It was really good day, even there was sunny! And believe me, sunny days aren't so frequent in Paris. At the evening, using subway, we got to Montmare: Moulin Rouge, graveyard Montmare and the church Sacre Coeur were our following points. We had great night, there were some parties we joined and had fun over there.

Wednesday brought us plenty of attractions, too. We almost reached the summit of Tour Eiffel, after we arrived to Versailles to visit the marvelous castle of Louis XIV. I'll never forget the night: we lent bikes and rode 5th, 6th and 7th districts on! It was wonderful riding down the streets in almost asleep Paris! ^^

Last day, we made some shopping at the market near Bastille, then we were chilling in a café...

With Kris
Later, after packing our luggage we took a flight to another trip destination...
Voilà! Paris gave us many lovable memories and amazing friends, can't wait to get back to this charming city! :)

Theatre Day

Last friday, 27th March, we celebrate World Theatre Day. There were lots of events connected with this holiday. In my city, Poznań, you could have visited the mysterious nooks of local theatres, saw plenty of plays (prices are cut down, so you should profit without hesitation). Moreover, there were many performances, training courses which learn some basics of acting, how to make perfect film/theatrical make-up, what scenography is good for some scenes, how to make costumes using cheap materials and many, many others.

I had the opportunity to take part in trip in Polish Theatre. It was such a great possibility to see how the professionals work. They taught us lots of history. Also, we visited undergrounds and the scene. What's more, there was a possibility to go to the President Lodge. It looked like a kings lodge actually: there was many red cushions and gold ornaments. Generally, it was such an amazing trip on which I could learn more about theatre.

If you follow my blog, you probably know that theatre is my love, so I celebrated this day a lot! :)

Harry Potter

One of my favourite books is Harry Potter series. It's a well-known story which every kid all over the world knows. The author is J. K. Rowling. Her publications were such success! They became best-sellers immediately!

Briefly, it's a story about an abandoned orphan boy who lives at his aunt's but the family doesn't love him. All the time weird things happens all around. On his 11th birthday Harry gets to know that his parents were wizards, so he's also a wizard. He goes to Hogwart, the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry where he makes friends for ever and where unbelievable occurs...

Each book was filmed; movies are amazing, but nothing compares with books. It's a complex, gripping history which shows the most precious values in the life. Sometimes scares you, other time make you laugh. Frist time I've read Harry Potter I fell in love with this breath-taking story. All series consists 7 books, which I read 7 times! ^^ I even remember that we had to wait in such unawareness for the last book, because it hasn't been written yet! Anyway, the fantasy always gives us great adventures, many funny moments as well as sad ones. It's a book to which you come back so many times and it constantly provides you incredible impressions :)

If you look for really good novel, I do recommend you Harry Potter! Perfect for everyone! :)
