Amazing Prague

The old market square
Prague ! *.*
Veeeery beautiful capital of Czech Republic. Prague was our stop during a journey to another wonderful place - Timișoara in Romania. Marcel has already been there, so he knew some good places were we could have hung out. For me, it was the first time there and I need to admit: Prague is amazing! ^^

What can you visit there ? There are many beautiful places to see. As we had only few hours, we went to the most important places. We started from the center - fascinating old market square with marvelous tenement houses. You could feel here like in a fairy tale! You walk down little alleys made of cobblestones, passing the vitrines of shops waiting for tourists... Then we found a monument of Charles IV the King and the one of famous bridges all over the worlds - Charles Bridge.

Here, there are many artists and street vendors as well as old sculptors (actually, if you touch some of them thinking a wish, it might come true one day... who knows). Walking down the bridge you can feel as in Paris. The Vltava is a really wide river surrounded by magnificent building at each side; there are many bridges over it, plenty of shuttles sailing back and forth. This was so similar to Paris' ambience.

In Czech, there are many delicacy to taste. One of them is Trdelnik - a typical Czech snack, very popular and very tasty as well. Actually, one of my favourite snacks right now :)

We made a stop in Prague one more time, on our way back to Poland. Funny adventure happened to us. It was early at the morning when we arrived and almost every place was closed. It was quite cold, so we went to McDonald in the center so we could have warmed up a little. Being a little tired and sleepy, we took a nap there. Suddenly, a guy approached to us and tried to steal our mobiles! Fortunately, we haven't been sleeping hard, so we could have noticed him. It was really weird: he asked us if we took drugs (maybe he has been looking to sell some). Anyway, we took our stuff and left. I would never have said that this could have happened to us in the capital of Czech Republic! Right now, we have something to laugh at ;)

The weather was wonderful, so we took a walk and we found a botanic garden by a mistake. It was one of the most beautiful places: plenty if peacocks were walking around so that the people could have almost touched them. Also, there was a pond with many fish ^^ You could find there many exotic plants as well.

Prague is a great idea every time during the year. I would even say that during Christmas it must be magical there. All in all, I really enjoyed our staying there, even though we've been there only few hours. I hope, that one day I could come back there.

Dancing Romania

Next part of my holidays I spent on youth exchange in Timișoara, Romania. With Marcel, we went to this beautiful country to participate in almost 2 weeks dance workshops!

Dance your way was an Erasmus+ project. This one was really amazing, perfect for summer! Not only could we learn some dances, we also visit many places in Timișoara.

The schedule was quite busy, so we didn't have time to get bored. On mornings there were dancing classes, then a break for lunch and siesta and after that - afternoon activities like sightseeing the city, workshops about healthy food or one more time dancing classes. Every evening there was a theme party. Actually, each nationality had their own evening. It was amazing ! We could learn something interesting about other countries, what's more, there was a lot of food from different part of the world... Yummy ! :)

I was so happy for polish evening, cause we could teach others one of polish national dance - polonez. It was really nice when almost every participants were dancing. Of course, there was many polish meals, snacks and drinks to taste.

Actually, there were plenty of people there who were doing other projects. The international society was good opportunity to talk about other cultures, learn languages or just making new friends.

The one thing which was really annoying was the weather. It was so hot that you could even imaging (at least some of you who come from northern countries). Anyway, the temperature was about 43 degree almost all day long, so we had to take a lot of breaks to rest. The hotness was enormous so once we spent all day on swimming pool ^^ that's the really holiday ! ^^

At the end of the project we prepared a short flash mob: we danced all what we've learnt during the workshops. It was really cool! Everybody was having great fun!

It was such a wonderful adventure! We had great fun, saw many places, made new friends... I'll never forget this trip. Right now we have new friends all over the world and great memories remember! ^^
