Time for Paris!

Next trip was to Paris. With my best friend Anna, we've been thinking a lot about going there. And the properly time came... We took a plane from Poznan to Beauvais. When we arrived, we had to take bus to get to Paris (it's about 80 km). Searching for Tour Eiffel was first thing we did through the window from the bus. It was there, but not that beautiful as during the night. We spent six days there, plenty of seesighting and walking down the breath-taking streets, discovering amazing nooks of nature or small cafés.

Moreover, we tried many typical french meals like ratatouille or snacks like macarons - tasty french cookies

Each day was planed carefully, but we had also many surprising adventures. First evening, we were exhausted 'cause of travel, so we stayed home. Next morning, the fun has begun. Jardin du Luxembourg, Panthéon, Sorbonne, Notre Dame, Ile de Saint Louis, Bastille, the market, Place de Voges, Hôtel de Ville, Centre Pompidou, Opéra, Madeleine, Place Vendôme...
That was amazing day! So many places we've been to... It was incredible to go down the little streets in Paris, watching people drinking coffee and eating croissants!

On Monday, we visited Montparnasse (especially the graveyard), Champs de Mars, we walked down the Tour Eiffel to Palais de Chaillot, then we went to Arc de Triomphe and down the Champs Elysées. Place de la Concorde was our next stop, afterwards Jardin des Tuileries. Also, we walked near Seine. The night was approaching so there was a possibility to see Paris during evening. It was unbelievable! For me, Paris is so much better during night.

Those two days were quite hard. Not only were we so motivated to see many places, we also wanted to get to now the quotidian life of Parisians. Anyway, last two days were plenty of visiting, but some free time as well.

On Tuesday, we went to graveyard Père Lachaise, next we've been chilling in café Arsenal. It was really good day, even there was sunny! And believe me, sunny days aren't so frequent in Paris. At the evening, using subway, we got to Montmare: Moulin Rouge, graveyard Montmare and the church Sacre Coeur were our following points. We had great night, there were some parties we joined and had fun over there.

Wednesday brought us plenty of attractions, too. We almost reached the summit of Tour Eiffel, after we arrived to Versailles to visit the marvelous castle of Louis XIV. I'll never forget the night: we lent bikes and rode 5th, 6th and 7th districts on! It was wonderful riding down the streets in almost asleep Paris! ^^

Last day, we made some shopping at the market near Bastille, then we were chilling in a café...

With Kris
Later, after packing our luggage we took a flight to another trip destination...
Voilà! Paris gave us many lovable memories and amazing friends, can't wait to get back to this charming city! :)

Theatre Day

Last friday, 27th March, we celebrate World Theatre Day. There were lots of events connected with this holiday. In my city, Poznań, you could have visited the mysterious nooks of local theatres, saw plenty of plays (prices are cut down, so you should profit without hesitation). Moreover, there were many performances, training courses which learn some basics of acting, how to make perfect film/theatrical make-up, what scenography is good for some scenes, how to make costumes using cheap materials and many, many others.

I had the opportunity to take part in trip in Polish Theatre. It was such a great possibility to see how the professionals work. They taught us lots of history. Also, we visited undergrounds and the scene. What's more, there was a possibility to go to the President Lodge. It looked like a kings lodge actually: there was many red cushions and gold ornaments. Generally, it was such an amazing trip on which I could learn more about theatre.

If you follow my blog, you probably know that theatre is my love, so I celebrated this day a lot! :)

Harry Potter

One of my favourite books is Harry Potter series. It's a well-known story which every kid all over the world knows. The author is J. K. Rowling. Her publications were such success! They became best-sellers immediately!

Briefly, it's a story about an abandoned orphan boy who lives at his aunt's but the family doesn't love him. All the time weird things happens all around. On his 11th birthday Harry gets to know that his parents were wizards, so he's also a wizard. He goes to Hogwart, the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry where he makes friends for ever and where unbelievable occurs...

Each book was filmed; movies are amazing, but nothing compares with books. It's a complex, gripping history which shows the most precious values in the life. Sometimes scares you, other time make you laugh. Frist time I've read Harry Potter I fell in love with this breath-taking story. All series consists 7 books, which I read 7 times! ^^ I even remember that we had to wait in such unawareness for the last book, because it hasn't been written yet! Anyway, the fantasy always gives us great adventures, many funny moments as well as sad ones. It's a book to which you come back so many times and it constantly provides you incredible impressions :)

If you look for really good novel, I do recommend you Harry Potter! Perfect for everyone! :)

Delicious pizza recipe :)

Welcome all the gourmets!
Yesterday, I was at my cousin's 'cause we prepared a pizza! There are plenty tasty things all over the world, but the homemade pizza is obviously delightful! ;) Here's the recipe:

INGREDIENTS:
  • 2,5 glasses of water (about 05-0,75l of water)
  • about 25gr of yeast
  • 1kg of flour
  • some oil, salt, pepper, oregano, basil and herbs de Provence
  • 3 spoons of tomato paste
  • a piece of yellow cheese
  • some extras (it depends what you like in pizza, for me it's ham and olives)
When it come to ingredients, you should grate cheese and cut into small pieces the extras.

HOW TO MAKE PIZZA:

  1. The dough should be rolled out, so that it will be thin and circled.
  2. Grease the bottom of a mold using oil.
  3. Put the dough into the mold and form it, so the dough would have the exact shape as the mold.
  4. Next, spread equally the tomato sauce on WHOLE surface (or just leave the edges without it, so after baking they're gonna be crusty).
  5. Spread equally the grated cheese.
  6. Add the extras on the top (don't forget that first should be onion, then meat, and vegetables at the end).
  7. If you want, you can add some extra cheese at the top.
  8. Put pizza into an oven and roast in 140-180 C during 20-30 min.
  9. Sprinkle some oregano on prepared pizza and eat.

HOW TO MAKE DOUGH:
  1. Into a bowl pour water, then add the yeast and mix till the yeast dissolve. Then add some oil and stir again.
  2. Next, insert flour and knead all the ingredients in the bowl using hands.
  3. When the dough is prepared, it should have a shape of a sphere.
  4. Leave it for 30 min, so the dough could grow.

HOW TO MAKE TOMATO SAUCE:
  1. Take a small bowl, put three spoons of tomato paste.
  2. Add a pinch (approximately half of a teaspoon) of salt, pepper and sugar, then some basil, herbs de Provence and oregano.
  3. Pour a spoon of water and a spoon of oil.
  4. Mix it all together.
The tomato sauce isn't neither sweet nor spicy. It's normal. If you want to make it spicy or sweeten it, just add respectively more pepper or sugar.

That would be all. Hope that you enjoy it and make your own pizza. Bon appétit! ;)

Welcome to Berlin!

Sooooooooooo, it's time for Berlin!
With my best friend Ania, we've visited this beautiful city. It was a snap decision: there were some free time between exam's, so we decided to go on a trip :)

Ania told me about couchsurfing (people who host travelers, so they can save some money, because they don't have to pay for hostels), that she had found a person who could host us and we could go there as soon as possible. So, we went! :)

Friday 13th, we went to Szczecin by train, then to Berlin by coach. First evening we just looked around the place we stayed. We met enormous quantity of people, had so many different adventures. It was incredible night mostly spent in subway.

Next day was quite busy: we visited all important places in Berlin: Friedrichstrasse, Brandenburg Gate, The Reichstag, we've been to the museums ans churches. Also, we took a little trip around Berlin taking a special bus for tourists.

On Sunday, we went see The Berlin Wall, Alexanderplatz and lots stuff over there. What's more, we had very delicious meal at Moroccan restaurant. Next day, we went back Poznań.

I must say that we both learn a lot. Many funny but also ridiculous things occurred there. It was so spontaneous, we just wanted to see new places, meet nice people and have fun. And we had all these stuff. Can't wait for next trip with Ania! :) Greetings for you! ;)

Barbecue time! ^^

Hey guys, today just brief note: I miss my friends so much! And our special barbecue meetings :)

With my friends from high school we started to organize barbecue parties: it's so wonderful to see friends, talk with them, just to be with them all while having such tasty things to eat! ^^
Anyway, we usually start 'season' on February. Yes, you've read right: barbecue on February in Poland whereas there is quite cold there, sometimes snowy, but you know, we must have it, we WANT it ;)

This year we started new season February 10th. It was quite cold, our hands were freezing, but anyway we managed to make nice fire, so that we could grill some sausages.

At least, we try to meet once per month, but when we have summer holidays, it's even more.

Doing stuff with friends like barbecue is great thing. We love to see each other, to hang out, to have all these little parties... They give us power, such energy to live! As always, it was funny. Can't wait next barbecue with my best friends!:)

Exams' time and fun

Right now it's hard time for students: exams have come! But not only them... No more classes in February give us the opportunity to meet and celebrate the holy time of exams (in Poland we call it: sesja). Anyway, if there are some students, they gonna understand ;)

Last Thursday after an exam, my friends from University and I, we went some places to hang out, just relax during this busy, sometimes even crazy time. Firstly, we had a delicious launch at Manekin the creperie (place where you can eat plenty types of pancakes). So, just imagine how delightful was it! A big plate where you can find an enormous pancake filled with bananas and nutella! Also, there was a small cup with whipped cream as addition. Isn't that sounds tasty? ^^ That's one of many possibilities for sweet version. Of course, you can have a pancake made as spaghetti or filled with vegetables or other stuff you like.

After the meal and nice talk, we went to MM center to play bowling. What fun was that! Never had I have such great time with my friends from University! There were lots of laugh, emotions - we've learned a lot new things about one another.

These little meetings, even though if there're not organised so frequently, they give us power and energy to go through all exams being in good mood. If you have possibility to meet with your friends, just do it. It's good to take breaks while you're learning :)

Greetings for you all girls! :)
